Residerly glossary
A few useful terms.
Understand the language used across your stay and place account.
- Place
- A listed place with its own photos, amenities, capacity, nightly rate and availability.
- Residerly Plus
- The access classification associated with the broader luxury residence network. It is a classification on an account, not something you buy; there is nothing to join and no membership of any kind. Check the eligibility shown for each place.
- Sanctuary score
- The place assessment shown on a living-space page. It is separate from guest reviews; an unmeasured place does not have an assigned score.
- Guest reviews
- Feedback from guests about their stays, shown separately from the place assessment.
- Lodging
- The nightly rate the lister sets, for the nights you selected, separate from cleaning, the guest services fee, tax and selected add-ons.
- Guest services fee
- 10% of lodging, charged by Residerly on every stay.
- Tax
- Lodging tax calculated by the location of the place, so it changes with the address. It is worked out for that address and shown in full before you pay.
- Departure cleaning
- The separately itemized cleaning charge shown before you pay.
- Confirmed booking
- A reservation confirmed after the required payment has been verified and the dates have been secured.
- Smart-lock access code
- A stay-specific digital lock credential with an authorized validity window. Account sign-in codes and booking references are not door codes.
- Calendar snapshot
- An imported copy of external booked dates. A snapshot does not update automatically when the external calendar changes.
- Lister payout
- The lister’s approved share of lodging. A transfer to a connected payment account and a completed deposit to a bank are separate payment states.
Record numbers
Every record carries one letter and six digits.
A hotel and a restaurant are members too. The M number is who they are, the H or R is what they operate.
- M000000Member
- Everyone on Residerly. A member who lists, a member who books, a hotel and a restaurant all carry one.
- P000000Place
- A place a lister operates.
- H000000Hotel
- A hotel place. The hotel is also a member and carries its own M number.
- R000000Restaurant
- A restaurant Residerly points guests to, or one a lister includes with a stay. Also a member.
- L000000Listing
- What a place or a room is published as.
- S000000Stay
- One booked stay.
- G000000Guest
- Someone on a stay who is not the member who booked it.
- C000000Cleaning
- One cleaning job.
- V000000Vendor
- A contractor account, cleaners included.
- 000000Door code
- Six digits and no letter. It belongs to one stay and stops working at checkout.
